Post 4 >> I really love pastel de choclo
Today I'm going to talk about pastel de choclo.
Pastel de choclo is a South American dish made from sweetcorn or choclo.
Is a pie with a base of minced meat with onion (it is called "pino"), accompanied with olives and hard-boiled egg. On top of this there is a cooked sweetcorn paste with a little basil.
Families usually get together to prepare it and chop a lot of meat, onion and sweetcorn. when the pasta needs to be cooked, everyone helps to stir it so it doesn't burn.
I usually travel in the summer to visit relatives, so I eat a lot of pastel de choclo during my vacations.
I like it so much that every year I wait for the summer to be able to eat it with Chilean style salad (tomato with onion)
Everything in excess in life affects your health in one way or another, so eat only one dish (or maybe 2).
